Mandatory Player Evaluations
Mandatory Player Evaluations will take place THIS Saturday, January 10, at the Robert Livermore Community Center Fields, located at 491 Loyola Way.
Evaluation Times:
The table below shows the times that players will be evaluated by League Age and last name. Please note that your player’s League Age may not be their current age. Be sure to reference the League Age chart on our league website to ensure you arrive at the correct time:

Important Division & Draft Information
Please note that registering for a specific division does not guarantee placement or drafting into that division. Each division has a limited number of roster spots based on the number of teams available. Player evaluations help coaches and the league ensure balanced teams and appropriate placement for all players.
Single A Division – Coach & Player Requests
For the Single A Division (League Age 7 and above):
Families may request to play for a specific coach; however, due to the draft format, these requests cannot be guaranteed.
A request can only be honored if that coach drafts the player.
Several families have also requested for players to be placed with friends. Friend requests cannot be honored due to Little League draft rules.
The purpose of the draft is to create balanced and competitive teams across the division.
Sibling placement is the only exception — siblings will be placed on the same team whenever possible.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep the league fair and enjoyable for all players.
Agenda for Evaluations
Players should arrive dressed in appropriate athletic gear and ready to participate in the following activities: pop flies, grounders, hitting, and running.
Fielding Drills
Catch/field two pop fly balls from the outfield and throw to 2nd Base
Immediately transition to Short Stop, field two ground balls, and throw to 1st Base
Hitting & Running
Players will grab helmets and bats and line up along the designated dugout
A coach will pitch three pitches to each batter
On the 3rd pitch, the batter will drop the bat and run from home to 2nd Base, simulating a double
If a player does not wish to be evaluated as a Pitcher or Catcher, they may leave at this point.
Pitchers
Line up at the mound and throw three pitches
Catchers
Line up to receive three pitches from a coach
Catchers must bring their own gear (pads, helmet, glove). Equipment will not be provided.
Words of Advice
Coaches evaluate more than just physical skills. They are also watching for communication, mechanics, focus, and attitude. This is your moment to shine!
Be attentive to instructions and listen quietly when coaches or staff are speaking
Be “baseball ready” for every drill (athletic stance, glove ready, focused)
Communicate loudly and clearly
Call out “I’ve got it!” when a ball is hit to you
Encourage and support teammates—no negative comments or jokes
Brush off mistakes and move on to the next play
Try your best and remember to have fun while staying respectful
Equipment Donation & Exchange
Livermore Little League is proud of our giving community. We will have a table set up with gently used equipment and sportswear for families to drop off or pick up items. If you have gear that no longer fits your player, please consider donating it. Your generosity helps other families avoid purchasing new equipment.
Pay it forward—we truly appreciate it!
