New to the League? Start Here....1. Which league do we participate in?
There are two Little Leagues in Livermore, Granada Little League and Livermore Little League. In order to play for Livermore Little League, a player must live within the Livermore Little League boundaries or attend a school within the league's boundaries. Click here to find out which league boundary your home address and your player's school fall in, if either one is within the blue colored boundaries, then Livermore Little League is your league! Welcome! ** The exception to this is Fall Ball, in which we host for ALL of Livermore.
2. What is my player's League Age?
Little League International determines a player's eligibility for divisions and tournaments based on their League Age which can sometimes be quite different from their current age. 2020 Little League Age Chart
3. What division is my player eligible to participate in?
The division that your player should be participating in is based on their League Age and experience/ability. Click here to see the different divisions available and the League Age requirements for each. For Teeball and Farm, you simply register for those divisions. For Minors and Majors, all players must attend tryouts. Coaches will draft players based on ability, skill level, and age. We typically set minimums, for example, most all 9 year olds will be in AA or higher, 10 year olds will be in AAA or higher, 11yr olds in AAA or Majors. This is so that players advance up. Not to worry if it's your players first time playing. It happens all the time, and teams are mixed with all talent levels. That is how they advance their skills, and coaches are used to having a mix of players on the team. The draft is to simply spread out the talent among all the teams evenly and draw evenly matched competitive teams. For fall ball, many people typically play up a division if they are planning to move up in the spring. You may move up one (1) division from what you played in the spring as long as you fall within the age range. Email us if you have any questions.
