Become an Umpire

Mission

The goal of our program is to mentor, support and encourage our umpires to feel confident and successful. Our umpire program will create a positive environment for our players, coaches and parents. As the UIC (Umpire In Chief) I will personally help all umpires to succeed by umpiring with you, shadowing you and coaching you along the way. I want you to feel confident when you step on the field and know you will not be alone. A game can not begin without an umpire, so the role of our umpires is so important to the success of our league and these players. When teams see the umpires arrive on the field I want them to be excited and know that because of the umpires, they will have a fair and fun game. Keep the spirit of the game alive, don’t be afraid to give a player a fist bump or offer encouragement. As umpires, we work for these players, it is our duty to maintain the integrity of the game and respect for it’s rules. Umpire clinics will be available to attend, rules meetings will offered and monthly check-in meetings will be scheduled for ongoing support. Umpiring is a tough job, but it is so fulfilling and rewarding knowing you contributed to the community by establishing a safe and fun environment for children to play the best game ever!
